| | | | The picture below shows a larger view of all (5) 1930s Cracker Jack Pop Corn Confection Toy Prize Tin & Wood Garden Shovel & Hoe Tools in this lot. These are not dated but they are from the 1930s. These are believed to have been point of purchase premiums that were given out with Cracker Jack in the store or fastened to the boxes. The may have also been used as prizes or premiums with other Reliable Confections products as well. Four of these are hoes, and one is a shovel. Also made but not included here were matching rakes. The colors of these (from left to right) are: red/blue, red/unpainted, yellow/unpainted, red/blue, and blue/red. They each have a wooden dowel rod handle. All five of these for one price! To judge the sizes, the shovel measures about 5-1/2'' long. They appear to range from very good to mint condition as pictured. |
