| | | The picture shows a view of this Unused 1954 3 Ring Circus Movie Ad Mat Mold. The ad mat is not dated but it is from the 1954 movie. This is a mold in which lead is poured to create a thin metal negative image that is then mounted on a wooden block for printing. Advertising is no longer being made or printed like this. The ad mat is like a miniature 3-D poster and would look nice framed, or you could still use it and make print blocks from it. The print block would have been used to print on movie pages in newspapers, in magazines, or in the movie theater programs. It is made of a thick compressed paper board. The admat has images from the movie including a circus ringmaster, clowns, a trapeze artist, and circus wagons. It is marked as follows: HURRY, HURRY, HURRY! HERE COME THOSE CLOWNS... IN THEIR CLOWNING GLORY!
