| | | | The picture shows a view of the covers and a few sample pages inside this 1945 World War II Philadelphia Guide Booklet For The Armed Forces. This booklet is the second edition printed in November of 1944. It was published by the Philadelphia Council of Defense and the Philadelphia U.S.O. Council. There are (52) pages filled with information for the World War II U,S, Servicemen and women. There is far too much to type here, but it lists many, many different clubs, activities, sports, churches, and much more in Philadelphia dedicated to serve the U.S. Military. The center two pages has an advertisement for Gimbels Department Store (pictured). The booklet measures 2-3/8'' x 3-3/4''. It appears to be in near mint condition with only light edge wear and a couple horizontal creases on the cover from printing as pictured. |
