| The pictures below show larger views of this (100) Old Toy Soldiers Plastic Play Set Figures With Foot Locker Box & Advertisement in this lot. This boxed set not only has Soldiers, but it also has Bomber Planes, Jet Aircraft, Tanks, Personnel Carriers, Jeep Cars, Cannons, Battleships, Destroyers, Submarines, Soldiers with Bazookas, Rifles, Machine Guns, Servicemen, Servicewomen (maybe Nurses as well), and Officers. All of the plastic figures are a dark Army green in color. We have never seen a more complete set then this one before. This is one of the sets that you would order from the back of a magazine or comic book, in fact that is where the advertisement that is included, was cut from. This set is not dated, but it is believed to be from the 1950s or 1960s. The box pictures hardware as if it were an Army foot locker or trunk. On the end sides are images of jets, Jeeps, ans Soldiers with rifles. On the back side there is an image of many of the figures laid out, like those pictures on this listing. TO OPEN SLIT TAPE To judge the sizes, the foot locker box measures about 6-1/2'' x 3-1/8'' x 2-3/8''. The set appears to be in mint condition as pictured, except we noticed that one bomber plane has one missing tail wing section. The box has light wear from handling. It has some old tape marks. These are from when the box was made. |
