“April 3, 1871 The Woman’s American Baptist Foreign Mission Society was organized in Boston, Massachusetts. Two hundred women came together to form the society which sent women as missionaries to women in foreign lands. The WABFMS joined with the Woman’s American Baptist Foreign Missionary Society of the West (Chicago), to form the Woman’s American Baptist Foreign Mission Society. ABHS is the official repository for the records and magazines of WABFMS.” |
