He may be a street performer. He is holding a toy (?). It appears to be a stick with a string attached. He has a detailed face, a frilly or pleated collar and cuffs, and gold paint on his cuffs. The bottom is marked ''JAPAN'' and there is a partial decal on the front of the base marked as follows: OLD ORCHARD BEACH, ME. It may have been an arcade game prize or purchased in an old souvenir shop. The figurine measures about 4-7/8'' tall. It appears to be in mint condition as pictured except for the decal. The decal can be easily removed if desired. |
