| | | The picture shows a view of all (5) Old United States Army Air Corps Pins & Sweetheart Jewelry Items in this lot. The largest item here is a necklace. It has (5) British King George V three pence silver coins use as charms. They date from left to right as follows: 1918, 1935, 1917, 1932, & 1920. The chain may be silver as well but it has not been tested. Hanging from the center coin is a heart pendant charm. It appears to be made of lucite or some other clear hard plastic. Mounted on it is a metal U.S. Army Air Corps wings insignia. The necklace most likely was purchased as a sounvenir or made to send home to a loved one. Next there is an old Army Air Corps photo locket pendant charm. It may be gold filled or plated but it is not marked. There are two red paper inserts but no photographs. It has one of its two heart shaped photo retainers. On the front is a U.S. Army Air Corps insignia mounted on a mother of pearl background. The last three items included are different metal pins. Two of these appear to be uniform pins. The smaller one may be for a girlfriend or wife. To judge the sizes the large pendant measures 1-1/4'' wide. The chain with coins measures about 24-1/2'' long. These items appear to be in good to excellent condition as pictured. |
