| | | | The picture shows a view of both sides of this opened Old Riesenrad Giant Wheel Advertising Brochure. Two panels have a full image of the wheel and two panels are filled with information in different languages. This Riesenrad Giant Wheel is in Austria and was built in 1896 by an English Engineer, Walter B. Basset. He had built others in Chicago, London, Blackpool, and Paris, but they were soon dismantled. This one was bombed and burned during World War II in 1945, but was repaired and rebuilt and was in operation from 1946 to the time of this brochure. The brochure is not dated. The brochure gives technical particulars and dimensions. Opened as pictured the brochure measures 7-5/8'' x 7-7/8''. It is in good condition with wrinkling as pictured. |
