The picture shows a view of this Old Store Front Girl Photograph With Advertising Signs. The photo is of a young blonde girl in a white dress in front of an old storefront entry. The photo is not dated but is believed to be from the 1930s or 1940s. There is a partial ''ICE CREAM'' banner that can be seen at the top left. In the windows are various signs and displays. There are three that can be seen for ''CAMEL'' cigarettes and one for ''RALEIGH'' cigarettes. There is a round (probably enamel) sign that pictures a bell and reads: ''BELL SYSTEM - NEW YORK TELEPHONE COMPANY - AMERICAN TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH COMPANY''. There is a 5c sign at the top right that can't be read. The best signs in the windows are two that are from Eskimo Pie Ice Cream. These two signs offer ''SWELL PREMIUMS'' for saving the ice cream bar bags. Many premiums are pictured on both. Some that can be seen are: a baseball glove, bat, ball, watches, pocket watch, roller skates, games, clock, rifle, pistol revolver and many more. The old photograph measures 2-1/2'' x 3-1/2'' and is in excellent condition as pictured. |
