| | | | The pictures show views of this Large Colorful Old Hot Air Balloon Art Print. The second image shows the entire page and the first image shows a closer view of only the actual image area. The scene depicts the first ever voyage of a hot air balloon in 1783 by Brothers Joseph and Etienne Montgolfier in Versailles, France as a crowd watches on each side. The print is not dated and the year that it was printed is unknown. We do not know if this was an individual print or if it was part of a series. The Artist and the Printer are also unknown. It may have been a plate from a large book. The back is blank. It is marked below the image as follows: PREMIER VOYAGE AERIEN
1783 The print measures 11-7/8'' x 15-7/8''. It appears to be in near mint condition. The top left corner has a wrinkle, and the right edge has wear as pictured. Both of these areas would be covered if the print was matted and framed. |
