The pictures show views of this Old Commercial Map of The World Magic Lantern Photograph Slide. The second picture shows the marking at the bottom of the map. It reads as follows:
COMMERCIAL MAP OF THE WORLD
ON MERCATOR'S PROJECTION,
SHOWING APPROXIMATELY
THE REGIONS OPEN TO, AND AVAILABLE FOR,
COMMERCIAL ENTERPRISE,
TOGETHER WITH THE EXISTING AND PROJECTED
INTERNATIONAL HIGHWAYS
The slide is not dated but it is believed to be from the late 1800s or early 1900s. Others that were found with this one were from those years. The side of the slide reads as follows:
WORLD, MERCATOR'S PROJECTION.

The magic lantern slide measures 4'' x 3-1/4''. It appears to be in mint condition as pictured.
