| | | | The picture shows a view of this Complete Set of (49) 1959 Nabisco Cereal Prize Lithographed Tin United States Flags With Premium Map in this lot. This set was available in 1959 after Alaska became a state but before Hawaii did. There was also a set of country flags available as well. The tin flags were acquired from Nabisco Shredded Wheat cereal boxes and you had to mail away for the United States map. The back of the flags have information about the states. They have tabs so that they can all be connected to each other or to hang them from the poster. The poster is marked as follows: Map Copyright By C. S. Hammond & Co.

Made in U.S.A. To judge the sizes the map measures 20-1/2'' x 16-3/4''. The map and the tin flags appear to be in near mint to mint condition as pictured. Before we acquired this set, the map was thumb tacked to cardboard and then it was shrink wrapped for protection. One of the flags (Nevada) fell off before it was shrink wrapped, but it is included. |
