The picture shows a view of all (54) State of Virginia Advertising & Souvenir Items in this lot. This is a large bulk lot that has been acquired or accumulated over time from many different sources. Some are older items and some are newer. There are far too many items in this lot to describe each one individually, but some highlights of the items included here are as follows: There is an old embossed trivet of The Bridal Veil at Grand Caverns in Grottoes, Virginia. There are (3) ''Virginia is for Lovers'' pinback buttons. There are (2) enameled metal state shaped pins with the state flower. Next there are (4) Virginia advertising souvenir magnets. One from Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel is on an unused postcard. The other three are state shaped with cannons and on one is also a sailboat and an apple. There is a miniature advertising souvenir cork bottle of seashells from Virginia Beach, a surfer keychain from Virginia Beach (no water inside), a neon colored Virginia Beach key chain, an old leather fish ''Souvenir of Virginia'' key holder, a set of Mount Vernon, Virginia jug salt & Pepper shakers with 22 K gold print, and (2) different cardboard game pogs. There are (5) different unused advertising souvenir embroidered cloth patches. These include the following: Carlsbad Caverns (pictures cavern) Luray Caverns (pictures cavern) Shenandoah National Park, Va. (pictures deer with mountains) Virginia (pictures George Washington's Mount Vernon) Virginia (pictures state, state bird Cardinal, and state flower) There are (3) collector spoons in this lot. Two of these are miniature spoons with an enameled section on the handle that has a building and read ''Virginia''. The other one is an old silver or silver plated President George Washington spoon. It pictures George Washington, a banner, Mt. Vernon (in the bowl), two flags, (13) stars, and some laurel leaves. It is marked on the two sides as follows: First President 1789 - 1797 George Washington Mount Vernon Virginia Wm. Rogers Mfg. Co IS Included also are (5) old photographs and and (12) old photograph slides. One black & white image is of Mount Vernon. There are (4) color snapshot photos of the Governor's Mansion in Williamsburg. (3) of the old photo slides are souvenirs from Natural Bridge. The other (9) slides are tourist taken images. (3) from 1958 of the Summit of Mount Mitchell, Smokies Newfound Gap, and Crescent Rock Overlook. (3) from 1961 include two from Skyline Drive, and one has dogwood on Tablerock Mountain. The last three are from October of 1973. They are of people with ''Welcome to Virginia'' sign. There is a souvenir picture card of the Lafayette Room of the Lee Mansion National Memorial. The other (11) items in this lot are all old advertising matchbooks or match covers. They include the following: View of Skyline Drive and Mary's Rock Near Panorama, Va. Natural Bridge of Virginia Natural Bridge Hotel and Cottages Hotels John Marshall, Richmond, and Wm Byrd of Richmond, Va. (2) Holiday Sands Resort Motel, Virginia Beach, Va. Williamsburg Restaurant The Motor House, Williamsburg, Virginia Paramount Restaurant, Virginia Beach, Va. The Horatio Motel, Virginia Beach, Va. Shenandoah National Park Lynn - Dee Motel, Virginia Beach, Va. All of the items that are pictured are included for one price! To judge the sizes the patches each measure about 2-3/4'' tall. These items appear to range from excellent to mint unused condition as pictured. |
