| | | | There are two pictures showing a view of the (2) Small Old Lowney's Chocolate Candy Boxes in this lot. Neither is dated but they are believed to be from the early 1900's. They each have a different embossed crest on the lid. They are the same size. The second one is marked on the side that it held 2-3/4 ounces. Both are marked Lowneys Assorted Chocolates on the top and the second one is marked on the side as follows: MADE BY
WALTER M. LOWNEY COMPANY
BOSTON, MASS., U.S. AMERICA They each measure 3-3/8" x 2-3/8" x 1-1/2". Aside from some lightly penciled words on the bottom the first one is in mint condition. The second one is in very good condition with some spotting. |
