The picture shows a view of the cover of this ©1965 Whitman Heroes In Blue and Gray Civil War Book. The book was written by Robert E. Alter 100 years after the Civil War. It was illustrated by Leonard Vosburgh and it was published by The Whitman Publishing Company of Racine, Wisconsin. This is a hard back book with (216) pages of story and illustrations. There are also many illustrated maps of the Civil War inside as well. The book measures 5-3/4'' x 7-3/4'' x 1''. It appears to be in excellent condition as pictured. There is some light wear to the cover from handling and some normal age yellowing of the pages.
