It appears to be made of brass. Apparently this is one in a series.The two side have a raised image of an old steam locomotive train engine with a tender car. There are mountains in the background and six stars at the sides. It is marked on the two sides as follows:

The medal or necklace pendant measures 1-1/2'' wide. It appears to be in excellent or better condition as pictured.
