| | | The picture shows a view of all (6) Old Oklahoma Photograph Slides in this lot. More detail can be seen on the slides then the scans show. These are not date but are believed to be from the 1950s. The first slide is of many oil wells and tanks. The second one is of a 200 foot tall arrow tower. This tower was built for the states semi centennial exposition on April 22, 1957. It along with a museum were dedicated on that day. The arrow has the atomic symbol near the top. At the base it reads: ARROWS TO ATOMS OKLAHOMA 1907 - 1957 The next slide appears to be a government or Federal Building. There are oil wells all around. There are two slides that appear to be of an refinery with oil, gas, and other fuel tanks. There are long flames coming off a few of the towers. The last slide is of a building and unusual sign for the Oklahoma Publishing Company. The slides each measure 2'' x 2'' and they are in mint as made condition. |
