| | | | The pictures below show larger front and back views of this United States Air Force Fighter Wing Atlantic NAS Oceana Virginia Beach Advertising Souvenir Throw Blanket. The blanket features an F-14 Tomcat fighter and all 14 Tomcat squadrons that were stationed on the United States East Coast, at NAS OCEANA, Virginia Beach. The blanket is not dated and the year that it was made is unknown. We have been told that the Tomcats were decommissioned in 2006. The remainder of the squadrons have since transitioned to the F/A-18E/F Rhino. Only a limited number of these F-14 blankets were produced and sold. The blanket has a sewn cloth tag with washing instructions. The fringe all around the edges show how many different color threads were woven in this nice warm blanket. It has a United Styes jet aircraft and (14) different squadron insignias or emblems, and it is marked as follows: FIGHTER WING ATLANTIC NAS OCEANA, VIRGINIA BEACH GRIM REAPERS VF -101
