|The picture shows a view of both sides of this 1938 World War II Souvenir German Rifle Bayonet. We are not military experts and are going by what we were told on this bayonet. We were told that it was from a German rifle and brought back by a Soldier from World War II as a war souvenir. The name and maker of the rifle that this goes on are unknown. It is all steel with the exception of the handle. It appears to be made of either a hard wood fiber material or bakelite. It is marked in different places as follows:|
1938 43 (on the edge opposite blade)
94804 475 (on one side of the blade)
LYM (on other side of the blade)
4038 8A (& other marks on end of handle)
It measures 15'' long and appears to be in very good condition as pictured.
