| | | | The picture shows a front and back view of this Colorful Old Two Layered Carved Shell Clothing Button. The button is not dated but it is old. The maker is unknown. The shell areas are very colorful but that does not show up in the picture. The image on the carving is of a woman in a dress at the edge of a field looking towards the Sun. The Sun has rays and a face. On the right side there are fence posts with a rail. Behind the woman is a tree and the branches with leaves go over her all the way to the fence on the other side. The back is made of a non magnetic metal and there is a ring or shank on the back. Prongs on the metal backing holds the layers together. The button measures 3/4'' wide. It appears to be in mint condition as pictured. |
