| | | | The pictures show views of this colorful 1936 Pillsbury Farina Cereal Advertising Premium Scrappy Comic Character Puppet Theatre Kit. This kit is unused and the parts are not punched out. There are directions all over for assembly of the cartoon caharacters and to build the theatre stage. There are the (4) mechanical puppet characters: Scrappy, Margy, Yippy, and Oopy. There is a mechanical scene with Scrappy and a Chinaman. There is the stage, background, tickets, and play money. To judge the sizes the punch out panel with the characters measures 11'' x 12-1/4''. The panels are clean, bright, and colorful. They are in excellent to near mint condition as pictured. In the first picture below you will see a small tear in the scrap area below the character parts. In the same picture at the lower left the corner tip has come off but it is included. In the second picture there is a small tear in the scrap area to the left of the Margy character. This is an rare and early fragile paper premium. It is amazing that it has survived this long looking so good. |
