It may be silver but it has not been tested. We are not familiar with this thin and sleek Japan made brand of pen. By the end of the pocket clip it is simply marked ''i11'' and on the clip end in black it is marked ''JAPAN''. The second picture is the opened pen section. It appears to take a cartridge, but the old cartridge is not inside and we do not know what it looks like. The gold nib is marked as follows: i11
