The picture shows a front and back view of this Old Carved Mother of Pearl Shell with Brass Belt Buckle. This buckle is not dated but it is old. It is not marked and the maker is unknown. The Mother of Pearl shell front has a nice intricate design carved around the edge. There is more color then shown in brighter lighting. The carved shell is mounted on the brass buckle with two posts. The brass back has a belt loop and a hook. The buckle measures 1-1/8'' x 2-9/16'. It appears to be in excellent to near mint condition with an aged patina on the brass back as pictured.
