| | | | The pictures show a view of all (6) Colorful ©1948 - 1949 National Dairy Council Food Advertising Posters in this lot. (2) of these are from 1948 and (4) are from 1949. We are not sure where these were used but they could have been from a school cafeteria, or a local grocery store. They each use the same elf looking comic or cartoon character boy, have a short poem, and each has the same bottom with different foods pictured. In the small print they have a title, year, and ''National Dairy Council, Chicago 6''. Some of the art is marked ''Hock'' and some ''Hockings''. The posters are as follows: ''Snack Time'' 1948 (boy with ice cream cone)
''The Carried Lunch'' 1948 (boy having lunch with a lunchbox)
''Rest and Relaxation'' 1949 (boy asleep)
''Stormy Weather'' 1949 (boy with raincoat and lunch box)
''Outdoor Exercise'' 1949 (boy playing with dog)
''Sitting Straight'' 1949 (boy at desk with a book) The posters each measure about 12'' x 18-1/4''. They appear to be in excellent used condition with some wear as pictured. |
