| | | The pictures show several views of this Old Bayville Maine Austian Made Souvenir Creamer Pitcher. Shown is the front, the back, a closer view of the front image, and the bottom marking. The picture is not dated but it is old. It is believed to be from the early 1900s. The milk color pitcher appears to be made of thin bone china or porcelain. It has a gold painted handle and some gold on the rim. There is a nice rocky Maine coast village pictured. Below the image it is marked ''BAYVILLE ME.''. It is marked in gold on the bottom as follows: B.F.H.S. CHINA MADE IN AUSTRIA FOR W. T. MABB BOOTHBAY HARBOR ME. The village of Bayville was incorporated in 1911 within the town of Boothbay Harbor. Bayville consists largely of summer residents and has some 43 houses at the head of Linekin Bay. The Bayville lineage of several families stretches back some six generations or more. The pitcher measures 3-1/8'' tall. It appears to be mint condition as pictured. |
