| | | | The picture shows a view of all (3) Old Matching Hospital Volunteer Employee Service Pins in this lot. These pins are not dated and the years that they were made are unknown. They appear to be made of brass or another gold colored metal. The center one is enameled in black and the other two are in blue. Each of these have a matching crest insignia in the center with latin. The left one is the only one with a marking on the back. They are marked as follows: HOSPITAL VOLUNTEER SERVICE
NISI - DOMINUS - FRUSTRA (translated: ''Unless the Lord is with us, our labor is vain'' or ''Without God, we labor in vain'') POLLACK CHGO (on the back of the left pin) The pins each measure about 3/4'' wide. They appears to be in excellent better condition as pictured. The center one has something white on it that could probably be cleaned off. |
