|The picture shows all (24) Different Early Celluloid Premium Flags Stick Pins in this lot. (23) are from countries and (1) U.S. State one. (SEE PICTURE BELOW!) The picture shows all twenty-four pins in the lot and a closer view of the front and back of two different ones. The only reference I have found for these pins was some time ago in a collectibles magazine article (I can not find that article now). It stated that these were used by a "TEDDY BEAR" Bread as a premium. They may have been used in other ways as well. As stated on the backs they were manufactured by Cruver Mfg. Co. of Chicago, U.S.A.. It also states that there are (70) flags to the set (countries) and (48) to the set (U.S. States). Each has a nice color image of a country's flag on the front and a write up about that country or state on the back. The flag part measures 1-1/2" x 7/8" and the stick pins are 2-1/4" long with a loop at the top of each. All are in near mint - mint condition except one has a corner chipped off. The countries included (in no particular order, as written on each) are:|
Porto Rico U.S. Territory
Tunis Fr. Protectorate
Ireland Part Of Great Britain
Congo Belgian Colony
Korea Dependency Of Japan
Algeria French Dependency
San Domingo Republic
Egypt Ltd. Monarchy
New Zealand British Colony
India Part Of British Empire
The single U.S. State flag in this lot is of Arkansas (this one has the chipped corner)
This is a great old premium lot!
