| | | The picture shows this 1934 New England Confectionary Company (NECCO) Letter On Graphic Company Letterhead. The picture shows the letter but it can't be read from the scan, so I will type what it says: New England Confectionary Company Telephone Porter 4700 Cable Code "NECCO BOSTON" Western Union & A.B.C. (The seal on the left side reads): Trade Mark Reg. U.S. Pat. Office Necco Sweets New England Confectionary Co. - Boston".(The letterhead has a nicely engraved image of the candy factory at): 254 Massachusetts Ave. Cambridge, Mass."(It was written on October 2, 1934 to): O.P. Berry Company Wolfeboro Falls, N.H.(and simply reads): Gentlemen: Kindly ship at once via truck 50 Bales Excelsior. Yours Truly, NEW ENGLAND CONFECTIONARY COMPANY W.B. Cummings FET (Signed)(The bottom of the letterhead reads): Makers Of Fine Candies Since 1847 Over 500 Varieties"The letter measures about 8-1/2" x 11" and is in excellent condition with folds from mailing as can be seen in the scan. There are two punched holes at the top from being in binder. Also the very tip of the upper right corner is missing. |
