| | | | The picture shows both sides of this nice old elaborate French Beaded Purse. I see no makers name but on the inside of the gold metal opening it is marked twice "MADE IN FRANCE". I do not know the date this was made but it appears old. It is entirely covered with bead work with the same design on each side. There is a chain handle and a lining with a pocket. I can't imagine sewing on the thousands of beads on this purse. There are white cone shaped stones on the clasp sections. Not counting the chain the measures 6" x 5-1/4". It is in near mint condition. The only flaw I can see is on the lining. It appears to be starting to separate near the hinges. This appears to be a very easy repair but I will leave that to the buyer. |
