|The pictures show some samples from this 1936 German Olympic Cigarette Photograph Cards packet. The fourth picture shows the envelope and a sample of a card back. There are (49) cards here in this lot. This is a really nice set of cards! They each have either a color or black & white image on the front and much information on the back. Unfortunately they are all in German. I can't read them to give you much more information. On the envelope there is a long list of the numbers of the cards that are supposed to be in this packet. Of the numbers listed, two are not present, and there is one present that is not listed. The packet should contain (50) cards and there are (49) here. There were far too many to scan. It was difficult selecting only a few to show because all of them have great images of different sports and people. Also, it is real nice that the envelope is included. Some of the sports that I recognize that are in this lot are: Skiing, Hockey, Bob Sledding, Ice Skating, Cross Country Skiing, Swimming, Racing, Polo, Gymnastics, Bicycling, and Marksman. Two of the photos are of the posters for the 1936 Olympics. There are some Nazi Germany swastikas that can be seen worn on some of the photos. One of the photo cards pictures Sonja Henie. I just wish I could read these to tell you more. The photo cards each measure 3-1/8" x 4-3/4". They all appear to be in near mint to mint condition and the envelope has only very light wear. |
