One side has an image of Napoleon I and the other side has a closed casket. It is a brass commemorative medallion minted in France on the occasion of placing the tomb stone of Napoleon I. It is marked on the two sides as follows: On his left “Napopponi” and to the right”empereur” with initials “C.T. below” Above in French “tombeau de Napoleon I” and below “inaugure le 5 mai 1853” The medallion or charm measures about 7/8'' wide. It appears to be in excellent condition as pictured. |
