The set is dated © 2003, 2008, but the cards are dated ©1977 by U.S. Games Systems, Inc.. The set consists of a colorful sleeve cover, a card tray, a Dr. Martin Luther King quotations card, and a small companion book by Deloris I. Holt with illustrations by Langley Newman. The card deck has two Jokers and (52) cards. They each have an African flag with red, black, and green stripes with stars an an eagle. The cards have illustrations of famous or prominent black people who were Writers, Musicians, Sailors, Soldiers, Women, Baseball Player, Boxer, and many more. Just a handful of the names on the (52) cards include: Martin Luther King, Booker T. Washington, Malcolm X, Harriet Tubman, Frederick Douglas, Duke Ellington, Jessie Owens, Jackie Robinson, Muhammad Ali, Louis Armstrong, and George W, Carver. The people are in the following areas:

Human Rights (spades)
Adventure (clubs)
The Arts (diamonds)
Science & Industry (hearts)

To judge the sizes the box measures about 6-1/16'' x 4-1/2'' x 7/8''. The boxed set appears to be in mint unused condition as pictured.
