| | | | The pictures show two views of this 1935 Grape Nuts Cereal Premium Rear Admiral Byrd Antartic Expedition Coloring Map. The map is not dated but it was a mailaway premium from General Foods Grape Nuts cereal in 1935. Shown is the entire map and a closer view of the top right section with Byrd, penguins, a husky dog, and some text about the expedition. This is the ''Authorized Map of The Second Byrd Antartica Expedition''. Unlike similar color map prints from the expedition, this one was offered by Grape Nuts cereal as a mail away premium. It is black & white and was made to be colored with crayon or water color paints. This premium map has not been colored. At the bottom are coloring or painting instructions. The map measures 24'' x 18-1/2''. It appears to be in fair condition with wear damage as pictured. It has folds as made. |
