| | | | The picture below shows larger front and back views of this Colorful Old Italian Micro Mosaic Jewelry Brooch Pin. The pin is not dated but it is old. These are all made by hand by Artists, Craftsmen, and women with tiny canes of different thin cut colored and patterned glass pieces called tessarae. They are inlaid inside of a metal pin back section. It appears to be made of brass. There is some fancy scroll work on the back and it is simply marked "ITALY". The pin measures about 1-1/16'' x 13/16''. It appears to be in near mint to mint condition as pictured. |
