The picture shows a view of both sides of this Old Ann Taylor Mother Poem Medal Token Coin. This coin is not dated but it is old. One side has a portrait and the other side has flowers. It is marked on the two sides as follows:

MOTHER
WHO RAN TO HELP ME WHEN I FELL,
AND WOULD SOME PRETTY STORY TELL,
OR KISS THE PLACE TO MAKE IT WELL?
MY MOTHER JANE TAYLOR

WHITEHEAD & HOAG

The coin measures 1-1/4'' wide. It appears to be in excellent condition as pictured. Below here, for reference, is a little additional information on Ann Taylor:

Ann Taylor was born in 1782 and lived in Colchester, England. She is remembered as a poet, hymn writer and children's author and, along with her younger Sister Jane, was responsible for writing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star in 1806. Prior to this they published the collection Original Poems for Infant Minds in 1804. Hymns for Infant Minds followed in 1808. Their work contained a gentle piety and often provided warnings about behavior to their young readers. Ann Taylor died on 20th December 1866.
