| | | | The picture shows a view of this Old Lido Mechanical Cowboy Boot Whistle With Store Card. You blow in the toe area of the boot and it whistles as the spur spins. The cowboy boot is black plastic and the spur is light blue. This was probably bought in an old five and dime store in the 1950s. This same whistle was also used in the 1950s by Cracker Jack as a mail in premium from one of their many comic book advertisements. The heavy paper stock card pictures a young cowboy using the whistle. It has music notes and is marked as follows: Lido Boot Whistle

Watch Spur Spin To judge the sizes the card measures 5-1/2'' x 4''. The whistle is in mint condition. The card is clean but the pop up holder sections for the whistle are torn. The holders, as made, did not hold the thick plastic whistle well. |
