| | | | The picture shows an inside and outside view of the (2) Old Holbrook Worcestershire Sauce Advertising Premium Die Cut Sewing Needle Books in this lot. These are not dated but they are old. They are diecut in the shape of the worcestershire sauce bottle pictured on them. When closed the bottle is on both sides. All of the wording on the bottle labels can be easily read. The needles and printing were produced in England. These still contain some of the original needles but they have some rust. Others of the same type can be used as replacements. Each of these has an advertising poem on the inside that reads as follows: What's sauce for the goose, we are told,
Is sauce for the Gander too,
That ''Holbrook's Sauce is the
Sauce for the world''
Is a saying equally true. Closed these each measure about 7/8'' x 3-1/2''. Except for the rust on the needles they are in excellent condition as pictured. |
