| | | | The pictures below show four larger views of this Old Cranberry or Ruby Red Cut Glass Condiment Jar with a Hinged Metal Lid or Cover. There is only one jar being offered here. The jar is not dated but it is old. It is not marked and the maker is unknown. It doesn’t show in the pictures, but the glass is a very intense red color in the light. It is made of thick heavy red glass with cut flowers, leaves, and oval shapes. The lid or cover is made of an unknown metal, and it is attached to the top. We would guess that this belonged to a larger set, but other items are not included here. It most likely had a spoon at one time. There is a slot in the hinged top for a spoon. We do not know what was served from this fancy jar. The jar, with the hinged lid measures about 5-7/16'' tall. The cut glass jar appears to be in mint condition. The hindged metal lid works well, but it has some wear from use as pictured. |
