Claude Akins   Actor   Movie Star   Theatre   Theater   Television   TV   Autograph   Nostalgic
The picture shows the (2) Matching Claude Akins Autographed 1979 Picture cards in this lot. I had briefly met Claude Akins in 1979 at the Ohio Vally Mall in St. Clairsville, Ohio. He signed and gave me these cards there. One is made out to myself (RON) and the other is made out to my ex-wife (CANDY).

Claude Akins starred as Sonny Pruitt and Frank Converse as Will Chandler in the hit TV show "Movin' On" which had 45 episodes that aired on TV from September 12th, 1974 to September 14th, 1976. Claude Akins went on to star in (among many other things) Sheriff Lobo, BJ & The Bear, and on the Planet of the Apes before he passed away in 1994.

These two cards picture Claude Akins and advertise a dinner theatre in which he was performing in 1979. Besides the autograph, they are marked as follows:

Alhambra Dinner Theatre
Presents
Claude Akins
Star of TV's "Sheriff Lobo" in
"I Ought To Be In Pictures"
A Neil Simon Comedy
Jan. 11th - Feb. 12th

The cards each measure 6" x 3". These have been thumb tacked to a bulletin board ever since they were signed. One was on top of the other with a single thumb tack going through both. They were discolored from age and a newspaper clipping that was over them for many years. The signatures are fine, but the cards are discolored as pictured.
