The picture shows three views of this Old Brass Metal Ronson Dureum Cigarette Lighter. This lighter is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1930s or 1940s. The box on the front has an engraved design and initials. It has a patent number. It is marked on the sides and bottom as follows:

RONSON
DUREUM
A. J. S.
ART METAL WORKS NEWARK, N.J. U.S.A.
BR. PAT. 291,695
U.S. RE. PAT. 19023
FILL HERE (on screw)

The lighter measures about 2'' tall. It appears to be in excellent used condition with some light wear as pictured. We have not filled or tested this lighter, so it must be sold as is as seen. It appears that it works well mechanically. It has a wick, but it will require a new flint and lighter fluid.
