| | | | The picture shows both sides of this Pope Medal With Nice Bezel & Chain. The chain is of a design similar to a ship's anchor chain. The chain is not marked, but it appears to be brass or gold. It has not been tested. There is a gold color bezel holding the coin. The coin or medal appears to be made of bronze. The obverse has a coating on it to keep the surface mint and clean. I believe that this a Pope on the front and the Vatican on the back. I do not know the date but it appears to have some age. It is marked on the front as follows: JOHANNES PAVLVS II PONT. MAX. To judge the size the medal alone measures 1-1/2" wide and the chain is 24" long. It is in excellent to near mint condition. |
