| | | | The pictures show four views around this Old Ornate Brass & Mahogany Wooden Box. The box is not dated but it is believed to be old. It is covered with heavy brass hardware. The latch has a turtle figure. To open the box you pull down on the turtle body or shell and lift the head. The inside of the box is dark mahogany wood as well. There are no markings, but there is a partial old paper label on the bottom. The lid or cover fits tightly on the bottom. The box measures 6-1/2'' x 4-3/8'' x 3''. It could use a good cleaning but it appears to be in excellent condition as pictured. There are a frw missing brass brads or nails on the hardware but they can be easily replaced. |
