| | | The picture shows a view of all (5) Colorful Old Imprinted Silk or Satin Tobacco Premiums in this lot. These are not dated but they are believed to be from the early 1900s. They were a premium or prize with the purchase of tobacco products. They were mainly marketed towards women and many had made quilts with them. All of these are numbered from sets and three of these are from a set called ''CANADIAN HISTORY SERIES''. One of these features Native American Indians. These have colorful Historic images and they are marked as follows: CANADIAN HISTORY SERIES 8. BUILDING THE FIRST CHURCH, 1615. CANADIAN HISTORY SERIES 11. CHAMPLAIN SURRENDERS QUEBEC TO KIRKE, 1629. CANADIAN HISTORY SERIES 48. CAPTURE OF LOUIS RIEL BY SCOUTS, 1885. 29. FORT WILLIAM HENRY. MASSACRE BY INDIANS: 1757. 33. BATTLE OF QUEBEC. GENERAL FRASER LEADING HIS HIGHLANDERS, 1759. These each measure about 5'' x 2-3/4''. They appear to be in excellent to near mint condition with a light center fold on each as pictured. |
