This thermometer once has a fold down calendar on the back, but it is gone. Without the calendar it is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1950s. The thermometer works well. There is a loop at the top to hang it on a wall. The framed picture is of a snow covered mountain cabin. It is marked as follows: ''WE COVER THE STATE''
