The picture below shows larger front and back views of this 1912 Engraved New York University Relay Race Sports Award Medal. On the front the medal features several naked Olympian looking runners or racers, an arm holding a torch, and a monument. On the back is the engraved event and the manufacturers marking. At the top there is a charm loop and another ring to hang it from a chain or ribbon. It is marked on the two sides as follows:
