The picture shows a view of this Old Children's Metal United Airlines Advertising Future Pilot Wings Pin. The pin is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1950s. It was most likely given to a boy, because older pins and toy rings from airlines stereotyped girls by giving them future Stewardess items. The wings appear to be made of lead and there is an applied red, white, and blue ''United Air Lines'' decal. At the bottom, on a banner it is marked ''FUTURE PILOT''. The wings pin measures 2-1/8'' x 3/4''. The pin itself appears to be in mint condition, but the decal has some flaking as pictured.
