The picture shows a view of this 1800s Salvation Army Women Magic Lantern Glass Photograph Slide. The slide is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1800s. The images is of two young women nicely dressed in Victorian dresses and hats. The lady on the right has a ''THE SALVATION ARMY'' ribbon on her hat. They both appear to be wearing some type of necktie, and the left one has stars and stripes on it. Both women are holding old tamborines. The slide is marked on the two sides as follows:

T. H. McALLISTER, MANUFACTURING OPTICIAN,
49 NASSAU STREET, NEW YORK
SALVATION ARMY LASSES.

The glass slide measures 4'' x 3-1/4''. The image is clear and detailed and it appears to be in mint condition as pictured.
