| | | The picture shows a view of both sides of the (2) Colorful Old Shoe Store Advertising Childrens Birthday Post Cards in this lot. The first card is postmarked 1952 and the second one is from 1953. These were both mailed to the same Rahway, N.J. address, have a Perth Amboy post mark, and have a two cent John Adams postage stamp. These advertise Kali-sten-iks shoes for children. They were sent from Slobodien Shoe Stores. The postcards are slightly different as pictured. Both have circus elephants and clowns. They mention to ''STOP IN OUR STORE TO PICK UP YOUR BIRTHDAY CAKE''. The banner on the larger elephants read as follows: Elephants never forget, they say... We wouldn't forget you anyway... Especially not on your birthday... Here's a wishing that it will be O.K.!!! Each postcard measure 5-1/2'' x 3-1/2''. They are in excellent used condition as pictured. |
