The picture below shows a larger front and back view of this Old Tom Lemon For Mayor Lemon - Aid Political Campaign Advertising Tin Pin Back Button. This pin back button is not dated but it is old. We do not know where this man was running for Mayor, but found it to be an interesting and unusual button. Obviously being a lemon has a different meaning today. It pictures the man running for office in a lemon on the front, and a union mark on the back. It is marked on the two sides as follows:

LEMON FOR MAYOR
LEMON - AID

IMBER QUALITY PRODUCTS
L. J. IMBER CO.
CHICAGO, ILL.

This man Tom Lemon (1914 - 1986) ended up being the Mayor of Bloomington Indiana for three terms (1948 - 1952), ran for Congress in 1958, and has a lake named after him.

The pinback button measures 1-1/8'' wide. It appears to be in near mint condition as pictured.
