The picture below shows a larger view of both sides of this 1918 World War I Verdun France Trench Art Bullet Letter Opener Knife. The unusual shaped letter opener blade is made of brass and it is mounted on a brass bullet. On one side it is engraved as follows:

The letter opener measures about 8'' long. It appears to be in excellent condition as pictured, but it could use a cleaning or polishing.
